Recycled is the new premium
While you’ll love the lightweight, compact chassis, the recycled materials that comprise this device are the main attraction. The ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 laptop features 90% recycled magnesium on the keyboard frames, with an additional 50% recycled aluminum on the Storm Grey models. Both models boast 55% recycled aluminum on the bottom covers, and post-consumer recycled plastic enclosures for the speakers, battery, AC adapter, antenna / cable holder, and backlit keycaps. What’s more, the manufacturing process of multiple components uses low-temp soldering for reduced emissions.

We use the US Department of Defense's MIL-STD 810H standards to create a balance of reliability and durability for our ThinkPad laptops.
